Oceanside Harbor . Cool view with Light house and restaurants. Last exit (Harbor Dr off San Diego Freeway) before Camp Pendleton. Follow signs to the Harbor. Go down to harbor on N Harbor Rd and you come to a parking area on the water with views of the light house and various restaurants. Can't drive to restaurants so park and our meet is in the parking area looking across the harbor.

Saturday Morning Paintout and Demonstration

An American Watercolor Society signature artist, Stan Goudey is our featured demo artist for Saturday Dec. 10. Stan Goudey paints landscapes, industrial sites, architectural scenes and railroad scenes. He chooses his subject matter based on his emotional connection to it. This enables Stan to capture the mood or feeling he has toward the scene and includes it into the painting. Stan also likes to encapsulate the light of a scene that creates a vocal point. Stan Goudey has won countless awards and honors and is recognized as a master artist! He teaches classes and workshops including a very popular workshop in Julian with Jim Millard.

The San Diego Watercolor Society presents “Jay Andrews – Plein Air Painter Extrordinaire, a Collection of His Work Through the Decades”. The exhibit runs 12/11/16 – 12/30/16 at the SDWS Art Gallery in The ARTS DISTRICT Liberty Station. The Opening Reception is Sunday, December 11th from 1-3 pm when the San Diego artist will be present. Now in his nineties, Andrews has been painting San Diego scenes in watercolor for many years. This is a unique opportunity to see and buy his beautiful work.
